Do anyone's chickens have access to their predator-proof run at night?

Mine used to in my old coop. The run was a lot more secure than the coop, so I wasn't too worried. I never shut the door just made sure the gate was locked and everything still intact around the fencing. Never lost a single chicken to a predator in the year they were in it. Now, I have a predator proof coop so I lock them in every night. Even when my new run is finished and predator proof, I will still lock them up. I sleep a lot better now but wish I didn't have to get up with the chickens every morning

I have a temporary chicken run with a small coop in it. My run is a 6 ft high x 12 ft wide x 22 ft long. it is a dog pen. it's covered in chicken wire to stop the hawks. This pen is inside my dog yard which is 2 acres with 6 ft fence all around. My dog house is 8 x 12. the dogs go from the dog house into my house via a dog door. I have 19 dogs to guard my yard. is this sufficient to keep them safe until I build them their own pen?. will coons or anything else venture into the dog yard with the smell of my dogs all around in it?. my dogs run out the shoot if they hear any noise at night. I've already lost a chick to a hawk. that's why I covered the whole pen with chicken wire....am I on the right track?

I just got chcikens. I live in suburbs. I got a premade chicken coop with a run connected. The coop is above some of the run. Would it be wise to put my chcikens up in the coop at night? Im worried about predators.

It depends on the Temp. here....When it gets really hot and humid and we get no relief at night I leave my coop doors open....I'm installing windows in the very near future before fall hits but next summer when it gets hot and humid again i'll leave the doors open....If worse comes to worse and I see signs of a predator, my beagle gets along very well with my chickens and i'll leave him in the run to keep an eye on them....He will get cozy at the bottom of the ramp or just under the coop....If something comes by he howls and scares it off
