We have 3 week old Orpingtons and 3 week old Wyandottes and they're growing pretty fast. We have 2 week old Australorps that are still very small. Much smaller than the other 2 breeds when they were two weeks old. Do the Aussies just grow at a slower rate?

Thanks!

I think it just depends ...I have australorps that are running neck and neck with the orpingtons for size, but I also have some smaller birds , high quality , just smaller..one of the smaller hens is multiple blue ribbon and won BOB , so when it comes to australorps..its kind of quality over quantity..

here are some orpingtons mixed with some australorps, , the orpingtons are looking like turkeys..the aussies are right there with them..but that small hen that we have is a stunner.. she gets to a show and knows shes pretty kind of shows herself that way ..should have named her diva.
