Very well could be, I know there's also a gene that makes brussel sprouts and the like taste very bitter to the affected. Fortunately I do not have that gene and absolutely love brussel sprouts

Hmm.. I didn't know this, and I do find Brussels sprouts bitter. But people I know who love them don't see how I could think that, lol. Now I can blame my genetics!
