i have a pair of bobwhite quail who are 23 weeks old i got them a week ago and iwant to know if they are going to go broody cause everyone i know who had them told they go broody

Its my understanding that they rarely go broody and when they do, they usually get over it in a few days.... Insert incubator here...

I have a coturnix that made a nest and started sitting on it Sunday. If she gives it up can i move the eggs to an incubator and finish them there? How quickly would they need to go into the incubator? I had just convinced my husband to build me one when she decided to sit. Also, she is on at least 22 eggs and the other hens may still be laying in her nest. How many can a quail keep warm? Last year they laid all over the pen and we just pickled the eggs. This year they all four started laying in a little dip in the ground. then the one piled straw all around into a nest and started sitting.

EVEN IF SHE STUCK IT OUT THERE'S NO WAY SHE COVER THAT MANY EGGS... MORE LIKE 8. THE EGGS WOULD NEED TO BE MOVED TO INCUBATOR ASAP BEFORE THEY COOL OFF
