Do Brahmas go broody?

My Milo is a Brahma, and she is setting right now. Started a week ago. She is young and not sure how much luck she'll have. She gets off for 10-15 every day or so, and today she got off for 3 hours. We will see his she does.

The Brahmas I had years ago were very broody but only 3-4 times a year. We always triggered broodiness though by leaving them a few eggs. They generally make good calm moms too.

Chicks from hatcherys never go broody, my best incubator is our turkeys they can take up to 70 eggs
I've got 21 brahma hatchery chicks from meyer hatchery in Ohio USA August 9th of 2021 and it is now almost April of 2022 and I'm battling 9 of those hens right now not even a yesr old and they r so broody already got 2 clutches of 15 eggs each so 30 eggs total hatched and 30 baby chicks running around my coop

Crikey....have I got a different type of Brahma from everyone else. My Brahmas spend most of their lives broody. My biggest and best hen (weight nearly 11lbs) has hatched lots and lots of eggs. She laid about 6 eggs as a pullet, then became broody and has been broody at least 3 times every summer since. She is now just under 3 years old.

All my other pure Brahma hens (and I have quite a few) have been broody at least once each summer, and most twice.

My Brahma crosses are not nearly so determined to become mums.

Tell that to my olive egger pullet, who's broody for the third time at 9 months old! As for brahmas, I don't have any personal experience but I suspect they're kinda in the middle, not broody mad like silkies but more likely to brood than commercial layers like ISA browns.
