Do button quails sleep in their eggs during lockdown?

Yes. All poultry does.

This is why when they pip and stop, some people think the worst, when all that's going on is the chick is resting/sleeping, taking a break, then resumes zipping themselves out of the egg. They may do this in one swift move, or take dozens of naps in between.

I was worried for a hot minute! But the egg is in day 14 of incubation so I have no idea if the eggs is okay or not but thank you for telling me!
