Do cattle roost?

They arent much of a problem around here but I heard the farther south u get the worse they get.

Joe I found that cows prefer sleeping up in trees like they do in the wild so you will need to cut down all your trees so the cow hawks and owls dont eat all your cows.

Ooh thanks for that tidbit of info. I'll add that to my list of "keep in minds" as I go about the business of getting cows. Way down here ya get tons of owls. Saw one last night.

Barn owls?

I Was thinking, if you are afraid of the cows falling off the roost, why would you not put a safety harness on them once they get on the roost? OSHA requires them in all the commercial dairies.

Joe, be sure you deal with a reputable breeder or hatchery to get your cows. Those feral ones are bad news!

And as for hatcheries, I've heard they are going to stop sending them through the mail soon as postal workers are threatening to go on strike.

Well, you can still drive to the hatchery and pick one up. I hear they have a drive-through window now.
