Do chickens attack electrical wiring?

Thanks for all the advice everyone. I think I'm going to run UF (i know, not as cool as pvc) out to the coop and then PVC from ground up to the switch/gfi box (plastic)--which I will mount fairly high up. From there, romex to the light and exhaust fan. WOOOT!
