Do chickens ATTRACT predators?

Is it true that the chickens will attract predators...in general? My husband has a large box turtle pen and is NOT HAPPY that I will be getting 3 hens because they will go after his turtles if they are just "attracted" to the area in general.

Ummm isn't that kind of like asking if a grocery store will attract shoppers? Anything predatorial will be attracked by the idea of a meal.

The predators are already around. The chickens just give them an excuse to stay around and make their presence known.

They won't bother the turtles, but sure will poop a heck of a lot in that pen!!

Here is my son watering the box turtle pen. Those are native blanket flowers...

Lets see if the picture post's...even though this isn't "Back yard turtle forum". (Turtles are my hubby's thing, not mine.)
