Do Chickens & Bunnies Like each Other?? do they make good room mates??

When I was young I had a bunny and a chicken. All day long the bunny would chase the chicken around - trying to get friendly

At night the chicken would roost on the rabbit. My mom was sure worried that she'd have some strange babies to take care of.

I have been considering this for a very long time!

Has anyone tried this with a rooster with rabbits and seen anything too risky that it should be done with just hen/rabbits?

I too have rabbits in with my girls and they get along great. My chicken run is in a roofed dog kennel that was originally occupied by rabbits. They were older rabbits I'd had for years and originally planned to get chickens once they all passed away but got impatient so just put them together. I originally had 5 or 6 rabbits in there with my first 2 hens and they've always done well. I have since lost all but one of the rabbits (due to old age) and have 7 hens with 1 rabbit and have never seen any conflict from them.

My little cockerels spend every day on one side of our divided rabbit hutch (since we only have one bunny). The bunny is extremely intrigued by the cockerels, and they're having some sort of frustrated love affair with the bunny! I don't know that I'd ever put them in the same cage together - I don't want to subject the poor bunny to any sort of traumatic event.
