Do Chickens Love??

I dont know if they can feel it but I like to beleive they can because I sure can feel the love!
(I think they can in their own little way though!)

YES!!! I believe some, but not all, do!! I have a Buff Orpington that comes and hugs me with her neck and beak whether I have food or not. She just loves people. She knows her name when you call her over and you bend down to her and she stretches and snuggles her little neck into yours and rubs her beak on your neck and face with her eyes closed. She then will sit there and love you for as long as you are there. She is so sweet. None of my other hens do this, just sweet Cora.

Just read your whole post....I think your chickens love you AND they love their coop. I think they always tend to stay where they know it is safe. Their coop is what they know to be a safe place for them so, they stayed, cuz...it's scary out there in the dark!

Well first of all I love your horse , I got a Standardbred racehorse from a friend when I was 16 yrs old. His name was Tracey's Clown, he won around 40,000 they was going to put him down because of his injuries. They even entered him in a race on pain killers, and he won. I would not want to work at a racetrack. He was the kind that pulled the sulkies when they race. When I got him he was ok to pull the cart around light work.He was a little hyper, but when I would get the harness out to put on him he would stand there very still,as soon as I got in the cart boy he would fly. I made sure I always wrapped his legs up, and took it easy with him. They was going to put him down, because he had bowed tendons so they pin fired his tendons and he ended up with me. I would send pictures to one of the trainers who wanted to save him,she said he looked great and even put on some weight she was so happy for him he deserved to be with someone who would love him and take good care of him. Tracey was happiest pulling that cart.He was a gorgeous bay color. Sorry to go on about the horse, but I think chickens love in there on little way.

The horse talk was for Wolftalk, sorry I worked so hard in the yard today, and I'm pretty sleepy. I'm also excited about the chicken show today in lake city,so I better get some sleep soon lol:ya

If I leave the run door open my chooks will put themselves to bed and stay there until the sun comes up. Not because they love me or their coop, but because that is where they are used to going, and at night they have no reason to go outside since it'as too dark to feed and scratch about.
