Last October I rehomed Charles, my Rooster, to a farm up in North Jersey. I have not seen him for the past year, last week
my daughter and I took a ride to visit him. He is currently being housed with a few other roosters. We picked him right up and we both held him for a little while. Charles was very, very relaxed in our arms. As I spoke to him he was looking right at me. It was almost as if he remembered me and or my voice, same thing happened when my daughter held him. I had had him since he was 2 days old, He was one of 6 chicks, I always held them and talked to them, I still do to the 5 girls...I was so happy to hold him again and to talk to him. I truly miss him and wish I was able to keep him where we live. So even if people say roosters haven't got any sense of a memory, I will tend to disagree right now...I truly believed that Charles did indeed remember my daughter
and I.
