Do chickens throw out their eggs from there nest?

I found an egg that I had marked on the 16th. It was in the dirt about 8 feet away from the nest. Is this normal? It almost seems like it new that it was no good. Thanks for input.

mine move theirs around and i have found ones before that seemed like they were pushed out.
