Do chickens...

I lost my sense of smell a while back. Someone recommended replacing some of our old Bloodhound's food with beans to help her lose weight..they meant green beans, I gave her pinto. I'm surprised the whole town wasn't evacuated.

Dog toots are the worst!

I'm thinking we should get the name of this thread changed to the "toot, poot, you know the rest fun"

If the bunny can do it why can't we? LOL

It was not my intention to resurrect the tangent that this thread went down, but I did happen to notice while watching TV yesterday that the censors allow the use of the particular word discussed above.
bamagirl68 - I have used the word "poot" as well, but that tends to refer to the more silent emanations, whereas "toot", of course, refers to the audible kind. As the many dog owners have noted, it's those "poots" that are truly fatal!

Well, no obvious flatuence or eructions observed in the flock here (turkey poop can be a bit - what's that PC term: `offputting'?).

As to the site's filtering of content: My scentiments aren't worth a farthing.

Getting back to the question...

I've never heard one make any sound I would call a burp, even when they have spewed water or "vomited" I didn't hear any noise.

I don't even want to know how we went from burp to fart.

But I have heard them fart.

I'm afraid to touch this thread but I'll answer the original question. I do not think chickens can burp. They do pass gas (I prefer that over "wind"). Mine pass gas all the time, especially while they poop. They passed gas way more when they were babies. But I have never heard of a chicken burping.
