Hi,
new to the group. I have four pullets at about 4 months old, 3 sexlinks and 1 amauracuana. Their combs and wattles are all pretty small. are they going to stay small, or do they grow larger with time, or with the seasons? Only one of the sexlink pullets wattles have started to grow larger and redder than the rest.
Thanks, any help would be great.

As your pullets mature their combs & wattles will grow larger and get more reddish which is a sign they are will lay soon and are laying good....when they go into their first molt of losing feathers and quit laying for awhile the combs will shrink alittle and become pale...also if they are having any health problems....

Your pullets if they are 4 months old are not going to have an adult molt til they are over a year old...some hens when they molt it looks like there were pillow fights in the coop/runs or that a chicken exploded and can get feather bare......some will molt very lightly....anywhere from next Aug to Nov. is molting time for most chickens...even roosters molt....
