Do duck eggs taste like chicken eggs?

the only person I've ever had not like ducks eggs didn't like farm chicken eggs either. He preferred the bland runny store bought eggs.

With both to use I generally reach for the duck eggs first.

Mmmm! Duck eggs are delicious. We got hooked a few years ago, so we got Muscovies, and then added on Campbells.

Duck eggs are richer, and have almost a buttery taste. I don't advise cooking them over easy, but rather cook just past it, to soft. I definitely agree with not hard boiling them! I had so many cuts from trying to peel the darn things, and then to make it worse they tasted horrible! I can't bring myself to cook them in things because I really like to eat eggs for almost every meal. It's a sickness...

The only real problem with duck eggs is that they have a very strong shell and membrane and make a mess on the stove. But, oh, so worth it!

We sell most of the chicken eggs and keep all of the duck eggs. I'd share them with others, but then when they got hooked, I'd have none left for myself!

Our next door neighbor is Cambodian, and they use duck eggs there almost exclusively. She is thrilled when I give her duck eggs. I have used them to cook with, but she says they are richer and have more flavor than chicken eggs.

They don't taste the same as store bought chicken eggs. There isn't much difference between duck eggs and home raised free range chicken eggs, except the yolk is larger, so the duck eggs are richer.

Agree with the above post - if you are used to home grown, free range chicken eggs then the ducks eggs will be pretty much the same, flavour-wise. If you are used to store bought chicken eggs you will be amazed at the flavour of duck eggs.

I think they tastes just like chickens eggs but have a different texture like more rubbery..and then thats about all I know, Ive only scrambled them so far!

I tried my duck eggs....and was hooked! I tend to grab duck eggs to fry...I wouldn't tell my chickens this...but the duck eggs are a bit tastier to me

However, I do LOVE the yolk...and it's bigger in the duck eggs. I think they are both delicious
