Do Ducklings Need Grit

First time duckling owner...do they need grit like I give my baby chicks and if so about what age? Thanks
Hiya,
I read that while they are on starter crumb they are fine, if you give them food like peas or meal worms etc you will need to offer grit. If they are outside they will pick up little stones from the dirt anyway if they need them.
I think mine were about 3 weeks old when I put a little dish of grit out for them.

If you feed them anything other than feed, grit should be provided. While they are small - chick sized grit is best.
Even though mine are outside now, I still provide grit to my ducks and chickens. They probably find enough right now, but I like to provide it just in case and I definitely provide it in the winter when the ground is frozen.

Oyster shell at time of laying 18-20 weeks or before if early layers. Grit in a separate bowl so they can eat as they need it same with oyster shell. If they are allowed to forage then they probably get their own grit, I only put it out in winter when ground is frozen and snow covered.

I don’t think I’ve posted any updated pictures... here is them today!
