Do Ducklings Need Grit

Can ducklings eat too much chick grit? Mine have been having tiny treats - just bits of cucumber or zucchini cut up tiny, and a few meal worms. I was sprinkling the grit on their food for the last few days but most of it falls to the bottom. I just put out a bowl of plan grit and my smallest duckling was diving in like it was the best treat in the world. I pulled it out because I was nervous she was eating too much. Will they regulate or can they hurt themselves with too much grit?
