I had two ducks named Luna and Quincy they were both call ducks born at the same time. A couple of months ago Luna was eaten by an animal/bird we're not really positive yet. Looking through the internet we figured out that maybe we should get a new duck as Quincy's companion. we still haven't done that yet. I wish I could be with Quincy all day every day. but I can't because of school other commitments. the most I can be with him on a normal day is about an hour, on the weekend more. so I feel like he is very lonely without me. whenever I leave him he quacks so loud and walks around for me. but when I'm
away somewhere he's in his pen all alone. so my question is if ducks have a sense of time if that he realizes that he's alone more than he's with me. anybody have any ideas?

I am not sure they have a sense of time, but they might. And they do have emotions, I am convinced.

So.

Until you can get duck friends, and I would get the same kind of ducks, get an unbreakable mirror or two to keep in the pen with him. Ducks seem to find comfort in that. And do get some company as soon as possible.
