Do ducks molt?

Hi,
My 3 one year old female ducks haven't been laying since they went broody in July and now are missing feathers. Are they molting? If so when will they go back laying?

It takes about 12 weeks after molt for eggs to start back. some extra protein is good to help new feathers. They will look very nice with their new coats. I also find with my flock, mold is catching. One starts then they all start.

Mine did this last summer and didn’t start laying again until spring.

Same thing happened to me this year too, 2 went broody. 1 still hasn’t laid since spring and the other did start laying again after a couple weeks, so you never know!

Yep! 2 blue sweds and 1 cayuga.

I got a handful of eggs after all mine went broody, and that's it. It's been a couple of months since then.
