Do ducks need a real large run?

They would be Campbells (8-12 in all, perhaps) in a 1300 sq ft. run (36 x 36)

I wouldn't want a bunch of frustrated, nearly wild things always struggling to get out. We'd want the birds to be comfortable in the run.

Would this be large enough--they would only seldom be let out of it, btw.

I've heard Khakis are really adaptable.

The pen will be covered by top rite netting from cutlers. The sides are 5' hi of 1/2 in. hardware cloth

I would probably subdivide the pen, also, for a drake and some hens; the other 650 sq. ft. would be just for 6 or so hens to lay.

    Would these sizes be do-able?

I have six scovies and a chicken on about 15x20. They are perfectlly happy and there would be room for more.
which i will have in the spring time as i want to let them sit on their eggs.
