They would be Campbells (8-12 in all, perhaps) in a 1300 sq ft. run (36 x 36)
I wouldn't want a bunch of frustrated, nearly wild things always struggling to get out. We'd want the birds to be comfortable in the run.
Would this be large enough--they would only seldom be let out of it, btw.

The pen will be covered by top rite netting from cutlers. The sides are 5' hi of 1/2 in. hardware cloth
I would probably subdivide the pen, also, for a drake and some hens; the other 650 sq. ft. would be just for 6 or so hens to lay.
