Do Ducks Use Nesting Boxes

Mine prefer covered cat boxes for their nests. I prefer to encourage them to use nestboxes, the eggs stay much cleaner and are easier to find,. Ducks are good at hiding eggs...and covering them in mud and poop.

Sometimes. Mine used wooden cheese boxes one year then got tired of them.

Now, they like little corners, so I put some 2'x2' thick plywood panels perpendicular to the pen walls and they make their nests with shavings. They do a very nice job, too.
