The question itself sounds, well, exaggerated. My quail's eyelid is not missing, but is actually 'chipped'.
Yesterday afternoon when I was collecting the eggs I noticed his eye looking strange, and that's how I found out about this little problem.
As you can see in the photo, he's closing his eyes, yet that little hole in the bottom of his eyelid kinda disturbs me as his pupil still peeks through.
(Sorry it's badly taken, he hates being handled and wouldn't stay still. This was the best I could do.)
We've cleaned his bottom eyelid a bit.
But I'm just wondering, will it heal up?
The cause is probably from another chick, but I'm trying to find out who it is. (We don't have anywhere to separate them as we already have one chick taking up the brooder of isolation)
