Do faverolles tend to be stressed?

We have 1 faverolle chick and she seems to stress out when you hold her or get near her. When you put her down, she breathes very fast. She doesn't run away though, she will stay close. Our other chicks don't do this.

Well, I only have one Salmon Faverolle, but I wouldn't say she seemed overly stressed. I do have chickens that acted like that. My Silver Lakenvelder comes to mind - she is convinced I will eat her. And I will. Just not anytime soon!

My Salmon Faverolle is one of the curious ones of my bunch and is one I can handle pretty easily. None of my chickens are particularly friendly, but she gets close enough that I can catch her for a cuddle if I so desire.

I think chick personality is hit or miss - the buff orps I have are both snuggly, but out of four red pullets (probably production reds), only two voluntarily get snuggled. Keep working on making friends! Toss treats, let her eat crumbles out of your hand, stuff like that. It helps to have some friendlier ones interacting with you to give her confidence - if three are eating out of your hand, she will be much more likely to come and check out what is going on.

Our Salmon Faverolles are very frienldly even as chicks.
We have a bunch right now and they will walk up to your hand to see what is in it.
The are relitively calm when being handled.
but just like humans they all have thier own individual behaviors some like humand contact some don't.
