Do Favorolle chicks always show that 5th toe?

If a pure faverolles doesn't have the toe it is really poor quality. Mixed breed chicks will not always have the toe but usually have at least a partial 5th toes.

Thank you so much for the information. I just had my most magnificent Favorolle Roo die and Im so hoping one little chick that is about 5 days old is his offspring. It sure has the colorations of a Favorolle baby but no sign of the 5th toe. Mama is not a Favorolle. My fingers are crossed that it is his. I also have a little gray chick with the 5th toe and obvious muff developing. It is 2 weeks old and from a different hen. I have not found a gray baby Favorolle but the 5th toe indicated Roo is his daddy.
