Do gawky silkie cockerels ever turn out nice?

I have two black, (maybe one super dark blue) cockerels, maybe five months old. One has a better profile than the other, more compact, but has some harder feathers in his wings and tail.

The possibly blue one right now has a longer looking neck, less leg poofiness, but better crest, super soft cushion, spectacular toe separation, and a way better comb, slighly purple and slightly bigger wattles... hmmmmmm... decisions, decisions... How long would you give him to blossom into Prince Charming?

I've found thta the boys develop more slowly than the girls--often continuing to develop for two or more years. And yes, they get tall and lanky before they fill out.
