Do geese display the same hormonal/mating type behaviors as ducks?

I've looked for an answer but haven't located it. My goslings (12-14 weeks old) are beginning to attempt what looks like mounting/fighting behavior. Are they the same as ducks in that both males and females will try to mount either sex? I'm wondering if I may be able to tell sex that way.

I have female only toulouse and have never seen them try to mount one another. They are 17 weeks old. :/

My geese did before I got a gander. Mine are about 6 years old.

That could be why I haven't seen mine do it yet. They are too young

yes and some of our girls will grab a gander and pull him into the pool too.

I guess all female species get that type of urge, so why not geese

Okay thanks all. I don't want to go to the trouble or expense of DNA testing and I've never vent sexed. So, I guess I'll just have to wait.
