Do geese only mate during their "season" or whenever the get the chance

My goose stopped laying mid-May. Figured it was normal...she started laying the 1st week of March. Now she and my gander are getting frisky again and starting to pick on my drake (again...which they did during reg mating season). Is there a chance she'll start laying again?

Because geese form long-term pair bonds, after molt they will often copulate and defend against other birds and perform theiur triumph ceremony. It's just a form of retaining and strengthening the pair bond.
