Well, I'm guessing your monitors are a different species from ours but they sound about the same in behavior. Ours would let a hen with chicks walk over them while they raided the nest, they didn't care for babies, but I wouldn't put it past them to eat the babies or adult hens if there were no eggs there...
About the guineas, mine were freaks, not normal at all. Not sure why, but that's fairly normal for hatchery stock. Always something bizarrely wrong with them, at least there often is, in my experience. Some are fine, I know.
I have heard guineas make a terrible amount of noise, but some people don't have such an issue with it. Neighbors probably struggle to find the silver lining of that cloud, given that they don't benefit from them in any direct way they know of, lol... If you're on friendly terms with them I guess they would let you know. Hopefully they're not the sort to call the authorities on you without having a chat about it first.
