Do Hawks go after full grown chickens?

I've witnessed a hawk taken out 2 of my full grown roosters thus far, so yes, they do. On a side note, I was graced with the sight of an American Bald Eagle roosting on the peak of one of my chicken run. They are so majestic...

You betcha! Years ago had a Cooper's Hawk go after a Barred Rock hen. Coopers are a smaller hawk and was outclassed by weight on fully mature hen.. Sad thing was the hawk crashed into a forked stump and died. Picking the hawk up it was all feathers, no meat or weight to it. As I say, hunger is a great motivator.
