Do hens have "tells" when they are about ready to start laying?

Last night, one of my blue andalusians (19 wks) payed alot of attention to one of the fake eggs in the nest box. She rolled it several times with her foot & seemed to be very curious. She would stand over it and walk around it. This went on for about an hour. I thought I might have an egg this morning, but I didn't. Am I too anxious? What do ya'll think?

I'd like to know this also. I don't have any fake eggs in the nest boxes - should I? Mine are 12 weeks old now, and I have started looking in the coop for eggs already.
