Do hens learn their names?

Milly and Tilly know their names, i can call one of their names and that girl will come running

The only one I have that will come to her name (or at all when I call, most of the time) is Chicky Gaga. When I call Gaga, she comes running, no matter where she is in the yard. The other chickens will come over if they think I have something good, but if they're ranging they don't usually bother, because they're already getting good stuff on their own.

My chickens are such snobs! Hmph!

Start calling them by their names from the moment they have names, just like with human babies. They'll learn pretty quick that that word means treats and affection, and will come running when they're older at the sound of it. (Unless of course, they're snobs like mine)

I think most of mine know their names. Cochi, Mr. Frizzle, and Mrs. Frizzle both look at me. But my favorite is Ms. Roo. I will holler "Ms. Roo! Time to Eat some Chickie food!" She comes running...err..waddling. She is Broiler mix way WAY past the age they usually live to.

But of course most of mine don't need to come to their names, they come up to me any way begging for food anyway.

haha. I will try. They are starting to look similar at this age, but I will do my best. There is my high sweet chickie chickie and other names for them, but when they were being 'bad' today trying to get out the fence I had firm and serious voice. Do they get that like cats/dogs do?

Too funny

They are always close together. Today was their first day in an outdoor run. They are live mealworm girls. I can't get them to focus on getting from brooder to outside. Any hints?
