I am not familiar with Cream Legbars - this is my first experience with them. I purchased these two chicks Friday, June 19th with 3 other chicks to give to my two broodies (the chicks were probably 2 or 3 days old at time of sale) - the 2 yellow ones in the pic were hatched out of my flock eggs after I bought the chicks. These 2 chipmunk ones were sold as Cream Legbar pullets (90% sex guarantee).
I have gotten a male chick labeled as a pullet from this local farm store before last year so I'm beginning to think 1 is a cockerel. I have received different breeds than what I have bought at this same store too (I bought 2 Black Jersey Giants - 1 ended up being a Black Australorp).
The light one is feathering out super slow just like my very first big breed rooster chick I had (I think it will be a cockerel based on that alone) and the chick is so much lighter than the other one (who I believe is most definitely a pullet because she already has tail feathers starting). However, the lighter suspected male chick also doesn't follow the Cream Legbar autosexing pattern with having the big yellow spot on his head, so I'm not sure if he's indeed a CL.
So, my question is do I have 1 Cream Legbar (pullet) and a different breed cockerel chick or 2 Cream Legbars (1 cockerel and 1 pullet)?
