Hi, I am new to Silkies, and bought 3 one day old babies this spring. No one has crowed, nor has anybody laid an egg, but I know by his stance and attitude that one is a rooster. The trouble is, I think the others are, too! Their combs look just alike...wide, maroon, protruding and almond shaped. Please see if you can tell by these pictures what you think!

Its hard to say considering most silkies won't lay til they are a year old. But it looks like they are past due on crowing if they are roos. I guess only time will tell. I have a white pullet silkie that never laid but was broody for my buffs eggs. Lol

the one in the back looks like my silkie roo but the cant really tell the others because the pics not that great...can you get some of their comb?

Wow, thanks! I didn't realize that the pullets were so late in laying! I will try to get better pictures. They DO NOT like to be caught, but I'll see what I can do!
Thanks again!

Thanks for grabbing more pics... I'm not seeing any redness on the comb so could be a pullet after all!! the one in the back makes me think its a rooster because the tail feathers are kind of pointing out and down. how old are they now

I am just too anxious, I guess! They are 3 1/2 months old. Being an avid reader of this site, and lately the Silkie threads in particular, I saw pictures of younger babies being submitted for sexing, and thought, "why not?" I am not in any hurry, but "inquiring minds need to know!" Thank you for your input. I learn so very much from these posts!
