One of my Araucana chickies has quill tips that are curled upward and does not look like any of the others' wings.

Here's its' curl-tipped wing:

And this is its white sibling with very straight wing quills:

If it does turn out to be a frizzle, how soon would I really be able to tell?

Nope I don't have any. But these are from eggs I bought from someone else.

Waiting to hear back if they have frizzle in their flock.

My frizzles tiny wing feathers started as curled out...BUT I have never seen a chick that was not frizzled with curly feathers, no matter what the direction.

My guess is it's a frizz

I can't wait to see how he/she feathers out now. I'll post updated pics in a week or two.

How old are you chicks? I noticed that the second pic the chick has orange legs.......is that normal for a Araucana?? I have amercaunas (sp) and at a week they have the dark greenish grey legs. I am new to the chicken breeds.

I hope you have a frizzle. I have 3 and they are sooooooo cute.
