do I have a Roo? And introducing to flock issus

Hi all- we took in a 6 week old chick and I can’t tell if it’s a Roo or not. I tried to introduce to my 7 week old black sex link girls and they wouldn’t stop beating it up- so now it’s my house chicken
Behavior: always preening which I don’t see my girls doing
No fear follows me everywhere and likes my dogs
Here is a picture- any sighting introducing chicks etc is greatly appreciated

Hmm what breed is it? I see waddles so it looks like a boy.

Maybe have them see him in a cage next to them for a few days to get used to him.

I also would guess Roo. @hysop is correct. Standard practice is to keep separated but let them see each other for several days. They'll still have to sort pecking order but it should help.

Looks like a roo with the huge comb and waddle. I agree with the other two. Put them beside each other for a few days and then try and put them together again. If it doesn’t work then restart for a few more days.

Thanks all- I agree that he’s a barred rock- I will make sure they can see each other - they were together in same room but I couldn’t see each oth
Ok I will resume with him being a roo! Hopefully as he gets bigger he will be able to defend himself?
