Hi all- we took in a 6 week old chick and I can’t tell if it’s a Roo or not. I tried to introduce to my 7 week old black sex link girls and they wouldn’t stop beating it up- so now it’s my house chicken
Behavior: always preening which I don’t see my girls doing
No fear😊 follows me everywhere and likes my dogs
Here is a picture- any sighting introducing chicks etc is greatly appreciated

Looks like a roo with the huge comb and waddle. I agree with the other two. Put them beside each other for a few days and then try and put them together again. If it doesn’t work then restart for a few more days.

Thanks all- I agree that he’s a barred rock- I will make sure they can see each other - they were together in same room but I couldn’t see each oth😊
Ok I will resume with him being a roo! Hopefully as he gets bigger he will be able to defend himself?
