At this age any should cockerels will have pointed saddle feathers and should be crowing. The hens will start singing the egg song and their combs will suddenly start getting larger and redder because they will be laying any day!

X2 on both of the above posts, although sometimes a cockerel's crowing will be delayed, and on rare occasions it can be nearly a year before a cockerel begins crowing.
