Hi! I have many chickens that I’ve raised from feed stores but this one I acquired from my daughter’s class when they hatched eggs. The teacher was certain it was a pullet because of the rounded feathers but now that it’s almost 5 months it looks more and more like a rooster to me. Can I have opinions on this? Thank you!

Welcome to BYC! :frow

Rounded or pointy saddle feathers are not usually starting to show until 10-12 weeks old and more flowing around 16 ish weeks. Before that all will have rounded feathers minus wear and tear issues. What age was it when the teacher was so certain?

ETA: I agree cockerel. Pics from google for example..
