So I got Eggs from someone who breeds Blue Marans and cuckoo Marans. Apparently one of her Show Cuckoo Marans bred with a blue Maran because that's what hatched.
Are you able to show a Cuckoo/Blue Maran?

What association is she showing with? Here are the accepted APA breeds and varieties.

Blue Cuckoo Marans are not accepted (neither are Cuckoo Marans) but maybe some are working on them? Sorry not exactly too sure on this. If I remember correctly, I think he can be shown but is limited in the types of awards he could win. Hopefully somebody more experienced will chime in soon. 😊

I'm not sure she asked if I was going to show him but I never looking into the shows. I know 2 of our local fairs have poultry entries but I think they need to be NPIP which I still haven't figured out how to do here in Pennsylvania. I have a small flock.

I'm not sure what the rules are in PA (I'm in NJ 😊) but for county fairs here in NJ, they just have to be tested for Pullorum Typhoid. It just makes it easier if you are NPIP as a state tester will test all your birds for you and you don't have to go searching for a certified Pullorum tester. 😉 If you would be interested in participating in the NPIP program, definitely reach out to a state vet and they will guide you to your state NPIP testers. 😊

Okay, first, that is actually just a cuckoo Marans. Neither cuckoo nor blue cuckoo are accepted in the Standard of Perfection, however, you can show them, they just can’t place higher than best of variety. He seems like a nice boy!

He is beautiful! His mother was a Blue copper Maran & his Daddy a Cuckoo Maran.
