I hatched this one,

and thought I had it feathered sexed (by the wing feathers) correct. But I think I was really wrong.
I really wanted a hen too.

I don't need anymore roosters. Out of my five surviving chicks, four counting this one are roos

Well it looks like a cockerel, but it has a single comb, the Wyandottes should have a rose comb. Pretty bird.

sometimes with blrw a single comb shows up. so you couldn't show it. Most of the ones I hatched had a rose comb.

How old? I don't see any boy feathers yet.

I think it is pretty hard to just go by comb color. I have an 11 week old Dark Brahma that is definitely a girl and is quite red in the face and comb. She started pinking up earlier than expected maybe 6 weeks and has the deepest cluck I've ever heard. Her friend is the same age and is really pale and is still chirping. Very precocious.

That's a huge thick comb. I'm thinking rooster. Sorry.
