Do I have miracle laying silkes????

Hi,
I have 2 silkies that are about 6 or 7 months old and they both started laying about 3 weeks ago. They started laying 4 eggs a week, which i thought was great as they are only supposed to lay 3. Recently we went camping for a weekend and when we came back we started to get 2 eggs a day. This has been happening for nearly weeks. I know for sure that they are the ones laying them as there are cameras in the coop. Why are they laying so many eggs? Does this happen normally or are my silkies just full of eggs.

Sounds normal. The low egg count for silkies is because they go broody so very often.

So they lay well but each time they go broody, egg laying stops for a few weeks. And they go broody constantly. At least thats my experience with them.
