do I have the right to be upset?

Well i just came to the conclusion that i am going to use her as much as she is using me. I have been having to buy fertile eggs lately because my hens are broody and setting on eggs and i wanted to be able to put more in my incubator. So I figure I don't have to go out and buy fertile eggs and i get 75% of the chicks. She asked me the other day if she can get first pick of the next ones that hatch and straight up told her "NO" That i am the ones turning them 3 times a day and everything else so I get the chicks i want first and she said ok.

It will work out for me!

Sounds like she takes advantage when she can and she just found out you have a backbone and she backed right down

Glad to hear everything worked out. I'll add that its often good to make sure everyone has a good, clear understanding going into a deal instead of having to figure out and rely on our faulty memories of what we talked about after the fact. One thing to consider is to just send an email documenting the agreement to make sure everyone's on the same page. Sounds obsessive compulsive, I agree, but makes things much cleaner in the long run.

I would NOT give her any chicks! She did not say she wanted you to incubate them for her, so she has NO rights to them.
