Hi!

Can anyone help me determine if I have three roosters? I got (13) day-old chics on March 31st- so they are approaching 5 weeks old now. I think three of them might be roosters? My brother-in-law and his wife are taking (5) of the hens and can take (1) of the roosters. We will keep the other (5) hens and (1) rooster, but I think I might need to try and find a home for the 3rd rooster. Hoping one of them might be a hen, though. Please see attached photos.

Thanks for your help! So happy to be here!

Thanks everyone! Not the answer I was hoping for. I hate the idea of giving them away. They are all so sweet. Any chance that you can have (2) roosters with (5) hens? I doubt it but doesn't hurt to ask.

I've done it, but only because I was breeding them and both boys were very sweet. Had they been a little rougher with my hens or each other I would have separated them. You can try it, just make sure to keep an eye on them to see if the boys are being too aggressive or if the hens are being over mated.

I have found a home for one of the cockerels but should I be concerned about him going solo into a new environment or should I give up one of my hens to go with him?

Thank you so much. I really appreciate your replying. I contacted the women we bought the chicks from. She has a very

large flock and said she could take one back. BUT, is this a 4th rooster showing his colors?
