Is there any specific permit or anything that I gotta have to sell hatching eggs??? Or is it just depending on what state/area I'm in???? Anyone??? Thanks!!!!

Hi!
No license / permit necessary (that *I'm* aware of).

I don't know about where you are, but here in Texas there are regulations you have to go by.

You have to have a Pullorum/Typhoid test that is clean.

Yes-send me the $25 fee and I'll take care of it for you.

Just kidding-you may need to be NPIP certified to ship into some states though.

Like previous posters have suggested, I would check with your individual state--here in MD, I have to have a "permit to sell hatching eggs, poultry and/or operate a hatchery"

I have the above, plus I am an NPIP participant (pullorum-free status) and will be participating in an AI testing program. My local ag office does it all for free. The hardest part is catching my nasty roosters. Last time I made the tester do it--he was such a good sport!
