Do I have to worry about my guinea's mating with my chickens?

I have heard that Guinea and Chickens can mate and that the offspring is rather ugly. If I have Both male and female guineas Will they still mate my chickens? I would hate to have to keep them separate all the time. I got the guineas for tick control and we like to let the chickens free range.
