White does not necessarily mean shrinkwrapped. The external membrane is supposed to be a papery colour, and the inner membrane is quite opaque too, in my experience. Read the assisted hatching article on the last page for pics of an egg with actual shrinkwrapping. Based on your pictures, I can't see any evidence of drying out.Ok so both chicks were peeping so I cracked more around pip to assess.
Egg 1 showed red veins, I put thin coat coconut oil on and put back in incubator
Egg 2 showed less red veins but still slightly and as I’m looking at pics now I see white and am wondering if shrink wrapped
Both chicks were covered in membrane and not near shell.
What are my next steps?
