Looks to me like a Boy. As for the breed it is difficult. From the pic it appears to have pearl legs with black on top. I would guess a cross but not set on that. Cuckoo Maran have pearl legs and Barred Rocks have yellow, Black Sexlinks have yellow legs too but with one breeding the males could change completely. I breed my Black Sexlink Roos with Black Sexlink and Gold Sexlink Hens and Got All But the barred roos. I got about 60% red roos that looked a lot like RIRs with black/red spangled breast. These are possibilities not really a diffident answer. Sorry I could not be more help. Either way they make lovely multi purpose birds.
