Hello,
I'm still fairly new to raising chickens. So, this past weekend, the chickens have gone out into their coop and run. They are 7 going on 8 weeks old; (4 Buff Orpingtons and 4 Easter Eggers). It is still hot in NW Florida, and they seem to be doing great. I had to put them in the coop the first evening, but by the 2nd evening, I went to check on them, and they were already in the coop..yeah!!!. I have an automatic door, since I figured this would be a bit easier for me
My question is, the nesting boxes seem to be quite high; do I need to put a ladder in there? I've attached a couple of pictures of the coop and their run. (This are not my chickens that are in the Producer's Pride picture, just wanted to show how high the nesting boxes are from the floor of the coop). My chickens are the ones in the chicken run, by the automatic door.
Thank you in advance
